The Siphiwe Msimango Foundation (SMF) is a dedicated non-profit organisation inspired by the lifelong volunteer work of Malume Siphiwe Msimango.
With over three decades of community service, we focus on providing emotional and practical support to children battling serious illnesses, particularly cancer, at Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital and beyond. Driven by compassion, we offer comfort and hope to families in need, while recognizing the efforts of those who contribute to public service. Close to our hearts are People Living With Disabilities.
Our foundation is rooted in the belief that small acts of kindness can create profound life changes. We also believe that great words must always be reciprocated by action. That is why we do more than we say. Through our multiple events hosted annually, we've created a vehicle for anyone who wishes to do good to participate.
At SMF, we strive to extend Malume Siphiwe's vision, by fostering a community of care, love and support. We keep the spirits of The Elderly high, by bringing them entertainment of their legends. They get opportunities to be graced by their favourite artists, whom they've only experienced from afar.
Generosity
By our very nature, we are communal as humans. There is no better time to experience such camaraderie spirit amongst us as during a crisis. Necessity and crises level the plain-fields, break down barriers and act as reset buttons for the human spirit. Preservation of human life eclipse all that divide us.
